You’re not alone — we’ll get you unstuck.

Whether you’re a student, a parent, or an educator, this page is here to walk you through the common snags. Take a breath, pick what matches, and we’ll point you to the next step.

I can’t sign in

  • Use the same email you signed up with (student or parent).
  • Try Forgot password on the Welcome screen and set a new one.
  • On a shared device, sign out of other Kanam accounts first.
  • New accounts need an email confirmation link before the first sign-in.

Start here: Welcome / Sign in

I didn’t get an email

  • Double-check the address for typos.
  • Look in Spam, Junk, and Promotions.
  • Wait a couple of minutes, then resend or try again.
  • School emails sometimes block outside messages — a personal or parent email often works better.

My teacher class code isn’t working

  • Type the code exactly as your teacher shared it (watch for spaces).
  • Ask your teacher for the newest code if your class just started.
  • Learning on your own? You don’t need a teacher code — choose “I’m learning on my own” on Welcome.

Solo path: Create a student account

I have a library card

  • Henry County Library System is on Georgia’s PINES network. A PINES card (or Henry County PLAY card) unlocks Digital Literacy and Financial Literacy free.
  • Scan the QR at your library, or open the Henry County library page and confirm you have a PINES card.
  • New learners create a student account. If you already have Kanam, sign in and unlock the two courses.

Henry County: Free library courses

I’m not sure where to start

  • Students: Welcome → I’m a new student (or Sign in if you already have an account).
  • Parents: create a family account, then add a kid profile.
  • Under 13: a parent or guardian must set up the family account for you.
  • Just browsing? Try the guided lesson from Welcome — no account needed.

Instructors & classes

Create a class, share the code, turn on the lessons students should see, and check progress — without managing separate student logins for you.

Open the instructor dashboard

Sign in with your instructor email, then go to /instructor. Non-instructor accounts are redirected away for safety.

Create a class & share the QR

Tap Create class — every class gets a QR and join code. Learners scan the QR or enter the code on Welcome. For a library partnership, choose that type to unlock Digital and Financial Literacy automatically.

Set lesson assignments

After creating a class, use Set assignments. Until you enable lessons, students may see billing unlocks instead of your class path.

Roster & insights

Expand a class to load the roster. Use Class insights for rollups, or open a learner for per-student progress, streak, and time on task.

Delete a class carefully

Deleting a class removes enrollments and assignments. Learner accounts and lesson progress stay intact — you’ll type the class name to confirm.

Need an instructor role?

Email info@kanamacademy.com with your school and the email you use for Kanam.

Parents & family accounts

You’re the home base. Kids learn under your login — no separate child emails — and you stay in control of progress, PINs, and billing.

One parent login

Create a family account at Family signup, then add kid profiles.

Switch who is learning

Open the Parent hub, pick a child (enter their PIN if set), then go to lessons.

Forgot a kid PIN?

Sign in as the parent → Parent hub → Reset PIN. PINs are not your login password.

Progress is per child

Resetting progress on the dashboard only affects the active kid profile. Open Parent insights for a progress report schools can also reference in family communications.

Already have a student account?

Parent hub → Convert to family account keeps billing and turns your profile into the first kid.

Under 13 & consent

Under-13 learners need a parent/guardian account with signed consent. Without consent, kid learning stays locked.

Export or delete

In Parent hub, use Export or Delete on a kid card. To erase the whole family login, use Delete family account — or email info@kanamacademy.com.

A quick safety note

Never share your password in chat or email. If you reach out for help, send only your email (and class code if you have one). We’ll take it from there.
